Mission Statement:
The mission of Owl’s Junior Theater is to give students, ages 6-18, a place to learn and grow on stage. In this program, students will learn theater basics and have a fun and relaxing atmosphere to get comfortable on stage. Students who are interested in learning about theater but who are not interested in performing, may also register for this group. They will learn how to organize costumes, run sound/lights, direct scenes, and create scenery/settings.
Our Goals:
Your child will:
- Learn theater skills,
- Gain confidence speaking on and off stage,
- Learn godly character, and
- Be challenged to think with a Christian worldview.

Fundraising:
Your registration fee helps cover some of our expenses, including supplies, costumes, props, backdrops, printing, etc. However, these fees and the donations we receive at our shows are not enough to cover our expenses for this program. Therefore, to help offset these costs, we are offering a fundraising opportunity with prizes for the top three students who help raise the most support for their show.
Volunteers:
We are always looking for volunteers to help make and/or paint sets, organize props, help backstage, fill in for sound/light technicians if no one registers for those areas, and help clean.
Dress Code:
Due to the athletic nature of acting, actors and actresses should wear clothes that allow for full range of motion and coverage. Please wear shirts that are long enough to either remain tucked in or cover stomach completely, even when raising arms in theatrical movements and active games. Please wear shirts that have a tight enough neckline that will allow you to bend over without exposing your chest. Please wear shorts or pants that will completely cover all underwear and will allow you to move around without exposing any part of your underwear. Actresses, if you are wearing a dress or skirt, please wear leggings or shorts underneath.
*Leggings or biker shorts and tight tanks or t-shirts will be needed to be worn under costumes for practices and shows. The color is to be determined by costume.
